About Us

Verulam Islamic School (est.1998) was built with the intention of implementing guidelines mentioned in the Holy Quraan regarding adherence to piety and righteousness, so that learners may have a well-balanced education for life.  The driving force for Muslims to establish such a school was the fact that Muslim students in public/ secular schools were exposed to unislamic norms and values.  They were being influenced to such an extent that they had lost their Islamic identities.  This matter became an issue of concern to practicing Muslims.  They wanted to act upon the guidelines mentioned in the Holy Quraan regarding adherence to piety and righteousness and also the Hadith of the Prophet (SAW).  The Hadith: “whosoever awakens in the morning without any concern for the affairs of the Muslim is not one of us,” is of concern to all Muslims.

Alhamdulillah, the Muslims of this town responded to this call and enrolled their sons and daughters at this school.  The school had also become a centre for committed religious, social and academic activities.
