At Verulam Islamic School, creativity and critical thinking are core values nurtured from an early age. Ms. R. Asmal, the Grade R educator, recently set an exciting and imaginative task for her young learners. Each child was asked to create a storybook using the first letter of their name as inspiration.
With the enthusiastic support of their parents, the learners produced fantastic and fun-filled story booklets. The results were nothing short of amazing—each story was unique, engaging, and filled with imagination.
To celebrate their hard work, the Grade 1 learners were invited to read the storybooks. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were inspired by the creativity of their younger peers.
